LANDE Cabaret is an arts organization established in 2009 by founders Larry Enns and Edward Haywood in Vancouver, BC. We are dedicated to advance the art forms of cabaret and musical revue, to provide an opportunity for professional singers to perform the songs of lyricists and composers of the 20th century in an intimate setting and keeping the American song book alive.

Cabaret Tonight featured a cast of ten singers who each took to the stage in a set of songs giving the audience the impression they were in a New York nightclub. They shared amusing anecdotes about their careers and introduced the songs with interesting patter as though they were old pros who'd been on tour for years. There were two husband and wife teams performing in this show, Danny Balkwill and Katy Murphy as well as Chris King and Jennifer Suratos. The elegant and glamorous Carole Jinks, a singer herself, emceed the evening with style and panache, telling the audience stories and introducing each singer in true nightclub fashion. Our second sell-out show.Theater, Performing Arts, Music2011 -
This show proved how little known the lyricist can be. Dorothy Fields wrote so many songs that people knew but had not realized the words were hers. Once again the cast of six proved their versatility with ballads like "Don't Blame Me" and "I Dream Too Much" to the zany lyrics in "Welcome to Holiday Inn" and "'Erbie Fitch's Twitch". Another sold out house!Theater, Performing Arts, Music2011 -
The cast of four took the audience on a fantastic tour of Johnny Mercer's lyrics starting with "Anyplace I Hang My Hat is Home" to the well known "Hooray for Hollywood". The singers got a chance to show their comedic skills in songs like :Goody Goody" and "Arthur Murray Taught me Dancing in a Hurry". It was a sold out house; a sign of things to come.Theater, Performing Arts, Music2011 -
Musical productions featuring the American Songbook.Music, Performing Arts2012 -
The audience is in for a treat with this production. The cast numbers six and the talent level is off the charts. It's no exaggeration to call these young singers "veterans of the stage" even at their age. Professional to the core, their love of the old standards familiar to their parents and grandparents are performed with heart. It's exciting for the entire company to be appearing in the new Orpheum Annex Theatre.
